Clients come first for Emma J. Luton. Emma practices in Keller Rohrback’s Business Group, focusing on estate planning including wills, health care directives, community property and property status agreements, revocable living trusts, and tax planning. She is dedicated to understanding her clients’ needs and creating specific plans to address those needs. Emma keeps the end goal in sight.
“What’s right for your family?” That’s the question she focuses on when she meets with a new client. She recognizes that estate planning laws are written for family models that are becoming increasingly rare as blended families and unmarried partners become more common. She diligently pursues strategies to make the current laws work in her clients’ best interests.
Before joining Keller Rohrback, Emma served as law clerk at LeSourd & Patten, P.S. She received her juris doctor from the University of Washington School of Law, where she served as a student attorney at the university’s Federal Tax Clinic. As part of her duties, she drafted and filed petitions with the Tax Court and communicated with IRS agents on behalf of her clients. As an undergraduate at William Smith College in New York, she studied abroad in Hong Kong. Emma is expected to receive her Latin Legum Magister in advanced taxation in 2020.
In her free time, Emma enjoys crocheting, quilting and painting. She’s also a certified scuba diver.
