Meet Keller Rohrback’s 2026 summer associates: Part 2

summer associates

We’re pleased to welcome four additional 2026 summer associates, Alaina Neuburger, Soumita Bose, Sage Fox, and Natalie Pemberton to the firm. They are joining (see part one) our exceptional summer class, bringing diverse viewpoints, impressive academic achievements, and a passion for the law. We’re excited to have them with us and look forward to collaborating over the upcoming weeks.

Alaina Neuburger

Alaina Neuburger is a rising 2L at Stanford Law School. A Seattle native completed her undergraduate studies at Pitzer College, where she graduated with honors in Economics and Public Policy. During her time at Pitzer, Alaina was a Fulbright semifinalist and a leader in the Claremont Colleges Debate Union, an experience that solidified her desire to pursue a career in law.

Alaina is driven by a commitment to public service and to using legal systems to foster systemic change. Prior to law school, she served as a Judicial Fellow for the Judicial Council of California, where she developed data-driven tools promoting judicial appointments and resource allocation in self-help centers. Her professional background also includes a research internship with the White House Council of Economic Advisers and advocacy work for housing justice with the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination. Alaina is particularly passionate about public health and plaintiff-side litigation, and she is eager to apply her background in policy and data analysis to hold powerful entities accountable.

In her free time, Alaina enjoys teaching yoga and playing tennis. She’s an active member of her community and is always looking for ways to give back. Alaina is excited to be part of the team at Keller Rohrback and is eager to contribute to the firm's mission of holding powerful entities accountable and upholding the rights of its clients.

Soumita Bose

Soumita Bose is a rising 3L at the University of Washington School of Law. With a background in public health and policy, she completed her master’s in public health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and was a researcher at the Urban Institute prior to law school. Soumita is returning to KR after another year of law school. Over the past year, she has externed with the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project in the Asylum Unit, worked on the Washington Law Review, and taught workshops on doctrinal classes for 1L students.

Soumita is drawn to understanding how complex and impact litigation can be used to ensure health equity and social justice. Soumita was initially drawn to KR’s plaintiff-side public health and environmental litigation. Notably, while researching KR, she discovered that one of her first civil procedure readings was a case where KR was involved in suing social media companies for their role in the youth mental health crisis. This connection resonated deeply with her public health interests.

Outside of her legal studies, Soumita enjoys reading, dancing, and learning her family recipes.

Sage Fox

Sage Fox is a rising 2L at the University of Washington School of Law. Originally from Oregon, Sage’s passion for the environment began in the rivers and forests of the Pacific Northwest. He earned his undergraduate degree in Fisheries and Wildlife Science from Oregon State University and later completed a master’s degree in Hydrology and Hydrodynamics at the University of Washington, focusing on biogeochemistry and the interconnectedness of land and sea ecosystems.

Sage’s journey to law was driven by a desire to bridge the gap between scientific understanding and advocacy. After conducting extensive fieldwork across the Western U.S., Alaska, and Chilean Patagonia (the latter as a Fulbright recipient), he realized that science alone could not protect the communities and ecosystems he cares about. Sage is deeply committed to holding large corporate and governmental entities accountable for environmental harms, from climate change and habitat fragmentation to contamination from PFAS and PCBs. He values the multidisciplinary approach of Keller Rohrback and is eager to amplify the voices of those most affected by corporate misconduct.

Outside of his legal and scientific pursuits, Sage is an "object in motion" who enjoys a wide range of outdoor activities, including climbing volcanoes, scuba diving, and spearfishing. He is also a former competitive Nordic skier, triathlete, and ultra-runner. When he isn’t outdoors, Sage enjoys cooking meals with local ingredients, gardening, and maintaining his home aquarium.

Natalie Pemberton

Natalie Pemberton is a rising 2L student at Berkeley School of Law and a longtime Bay Area resident. Natalie earned her bachelor's degree in English and Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles.

In addition to her studies, Natalie works at the East Bay Community Law Center, where she helps defend individuals against fraudulent and abusive debt-collection practices. Her experience advocating for consumers has reinforced her commitment to a legal career dedicated to protecting those who have been exploited and ensuring that powerful institutions are held accountable for their actions.

Natalie was drawn to the legal profession because she views the law as one of the most effective tools Americans have to improve conditions for themselves and their communities. She is particularly interested in plaintiff-side litigation, including class actions and antitrust matters, because of their potential to create meaningful change and hold corporations accountable to the people who place their trust and their money in them.

Known for her creativity and ability to find solutions others might overlook, Natalie takes pride in approaching challenges from new angles. She is also proud of her work as an Associate Editor of the Berkeley Journal of Gender, Law & Justice, where she contributes to scholarship and dialogue that uplift communities. Outside of law school, Natalie enjoys hiking, fishing, reading Romantic-era literature, painting with acrylics, and creating ceramics, among other hobbies.
