On April 16, 2025, the Honorable Thomas S. Zilly issued an order on Defendants’ Motion to Dismiss allowing the majority of Plaintiffs’ claims to proceed. The Court also denied Defendants’ Motion to Compel Arbitration. Defendants appealed the Court’s arbitration ruling. The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed the Court’s denial of Defendant’s Motion to Compel Arbitration on July 8, 2026.
Keller Rohrback L.L.P. filed an amended class action complaint on behalf of individuals in the United States who provided credit card, debit card, bank account, or other financial account information to Doxo, Inc. (“Doxo”); and were subsequently charged for Doxo products and/or services, including, but not limited to, Doxo’s bill pay service and its monthly subscription plan “doxoPLUS,” for the benefit of Doxo without the persons’ prior informed authorization or consent.
Plaintiffs and the proposed class allege that Defendants engaged in unfair and deceptive acts and practices and received financial benefits from Defendants’ practices of charging unwanted fees and unwanted subscription plans for Doxo’s products and services.
