May 12, 2010 (Seattle) -- Keller Rohrback L.L.P. announces that a class action complaint was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio on behalf of all purchasers of Pampers brand diapers or “Easy Ups” containing Pampers’ “Dry Max” technology including, but not limited to, products labeled as Swaddlers or Cruisers diapers. Keller Rohrback L.L.P. Announces Attorneys Chosen to Receive Burton Award for Legal Achievement
April 30, 2010 (Seattle) -- Keller Rohrback L.L.P. is pleased to announce that attorneys Derek Loeser and Ben Gould have been chosen to receive a Burton Award for Legal Achievement for their article: "The Continuing Applicability of Rule 23(b)(1) to ERISA Actions for Breach of Fiduciary Duty," published in Pension & Benefits Daily on August 31, 2009. The article was among 30 selected winners chosen from 1,000 submissions from the nation’s largest and most prestigious law firms.
The article examines the Supreme Court decision LaRue v. DeWolff, Boberg & Assoc., Inc., and concludes that the decision supports Rule 23(b)(1) class certification of ERISA breach of fiduciary duty cases brought by plan participants on behalf of retirement plans. “We strive to present complex legal issues clearly and persuasively, and we are honored to receive this distinguished award,” said Mr. Loeser.
The Burton Awards program, which recognizes the nation’s finest legal writers, is run in association with the Library of Congress Law Library. The entries are judged by a committee of prominent active judges and professors from premier US law schools.
The Eleventh Anniversary Burton Awards event will be held at the Library of Congress on June 14, 2010. Ninth Circuit Denies Petition for Rehearing en banc
May 23, 2007 (Seattle) -- The United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit has amended its December 22, 2006, ruling in the case of Baker v. Exxon Mobil Corp., 04-35182, 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. The Court has decided it will not rehear the case “en banc.”
